I just swithced from using Liquitex to Matisse, this is my first attempt with these new paints. I do like the smooth feel of the paint and the opacity seems to be a little better too. C&C welcome. Hope you all have a great Holiday!!! Size is 15x25 Canvas.

Wonderful painting!!! I use to live in Arizona and made several trips down to the Mission - such a beautiful a moving place.
Great sky, structures, composition and foliage - almost photographic - Masterful job! I'd stick woth your new acrylics as they seem to work for you - quality makes such a difference. To this painting I say BRAVO!!!

The entire painting is fantastic but that sky is mesmerizing!
Lovely colours and atmosphere.

Beautifully done! And a very interesting emotional response. The foreboding sky the prickly cactus, all the sharp edges. The sort of ray of sunshine with everything else grey and atmospheric. I'm sure I'm reading too much into it, but it seems to speak to our cultural ambivalence toward religion.

I have a feeling you could paint anything well regardless of the paint used but no substitute for quality and the painting shows it. Beautiful.

Hi Rich. I am very happy to see your beautiful painting of San Xavier. When I lived in Tucson, I actually went to this church each Sunday and volunteered as a teacher's aide for the 3-4th graders at the school there. It holds very special memories for me. Thanks for sharing your art..........Lenore

PLASTECHIE: I really DID want C&C, and as in my private message I thanked you for it. All I was asking was for a written explanation on the meaning of your lines. So I could understand what it was you were pointing out, and again - thank you!!!
