What stillness and serenity in that scene! I can anticipate a startled crane suddenly rising from the bushes, noisily flapping its wings.

Very lovely Ruthie! We always called this the "children's moon" because it came out while it was still light outside so the children could see it.

Very, very nice - great color and nice composition. The lone tree sticking out towards the middle from the land mass bothers me a little and I think the reflection of the moon should be dimmer and not so pertectly round. There appears to be ripples in the water and would be distorting the moon reflection. wonderful use of greens as well.

Thank you for your kind thoughts Lavendar, Love your Children's Moon Gayle! Thanks Dee and Clem! Thanks for your comments Dick, I appreciate your feedback and will think about some adjustments. I too, don't really like the tree, but it will have to. I'm afraid I won't be able to match the colors to paint it out. Maybe darkening it would help a bit.
Thanks again everyone!!

Beautifully painted, I can feel the still calm air in the painting. Besides what Dick mentioned, The thick grasses on the left front corner are competing with the lovely reflection of the trees.

One can feel the calmness and peacefulness of this spot.
Is it your feelings that you have captured here so wonderfully?
A lot of passion in this painting Ruth.
