Very nice - good color. Overall I like the compostion but I think I would have laid the front pear cross wise with the stem pointing to the left (into the painting) The bottom side of the pear is somewhat confusing as to what type of fruit it is (ie: no real visual definition.) Luv the BG as well.

I forgot to mention : this painting is 9" by 11"
I try again :) this is just pear part .http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/05-Dec-2009/2940-DSCN0351.JPG

I think you did a great job with this, but I need to ask a question, wouldn't the wine bottle itself cast more of it's color on the contents, just to me it's seems a bit disconnected, or lighten the top half so the glass of the bottle looks continuous. Just my thought tho, I do like it very much.

Thank You Elaine for looking . I think you are right. I will give the reflected colors to the wine :)

Richard, thank you. I think I will place the pears differently in the next painting as it gave me some grief trying to differentiate them.

Hi Julia, great work!
love the glass work too.. unfortunately I think the base of the glass, shape is a little off.. wouldnt it be similar to the opening of the top of the glass?? same spherical shape, oval?? not sure.. but does look a little off there, sorry.

Kathie thank you for looking and comments :) The base does not repeat the shape of the glass opening but the liquid in the glass does... Maybe I made it too round though...
