Hi there, Well the first evening is complete and I sold 2 small pieces. I'm pleased with that since all the other artists in our hallways didn't sell.

The big evening in our art building was an event where 50 artists painted 30 pieces 1/day on 8x10 boards or cheaper canvas boards. All 1500 pieces were mixed and displayed and sold for $40 each with the artist getting 2/3 of the sale price.

It was a mad house... some was good, some far from it but they had great attendance and appeared some artists had good sales.

Maybe I need to encourage pastelists to do this in Seattle since they won't accept our medium in that type of show. too fragile.

Congratulations! That sounds like so much fun. If I lived in the area I would have wanted to try to get a ride and go, that sounds so cool you had that 50 artists event too. Congrats on your sales too! Hope this keeps up and you have a great show.

Congrats on your first show! Sounds like a great time to me. Good luck with the show this weekend. I'd be there is Seattle wasn't so far from Denver. Have fun!
