Acrylic on wood panel, 18.5" x 36". Original sketch by Art 'Danger' Adams.

This was an absolute blast to paint! I have always been a fan of comic art, batman being my favorite, and decided to reproduce in color an original inking by renowned comic artist Arthur Adams.

It was also the first time I used a photo journal to document the process and kept track of the time I spent painting. Total: 60 hours. You can view a slide show here (http://s256.photobucket.com/albums/hh190/MachTwang/art/WIP/batman%20and%20robin/?action=view&current=3327102b.pbw) or click here for the complete annotated gallery (http://s256.photobucket.com/albums/hh190/MachTwang/art/WIP/batman%20and%20robin/?start=all). (I'm sorry for the poor lighting in these pictures, I really need better lights and/or photography skills.)

Thanks for looking! All critiques and comments welcome.

nice strong piece, the drama is ,I feel, helped by the use of limited colour and a really well thought out compostion.

Thanks for the info. I am well aware of the no-no's of selling reproduction pieces. This one was painted for myself, everything else I give away. I have never sold anything I've painted other than commercial contracts, i.e. signs, murals, etc.

Many thanks to all that replied. :)
