After a while dabbling in other media I came back too soft pastels this week. Any C and C of this painting would be very welcome - especially ideas on how to improve my rendering of foliage.

The scene is a path leading to Graball Bay near Crosshaven, on Cork Harbour. It is from memory so there is an awful lot of poetic license. But I am encouraged by the fact that those few who have seen it have recognised the scene, even though in reality is is just a rather non descript path leading through undergrowth.

Oh yeah; a mixture of Schminke and, mostly, Rembrandt pastels on Canson Mi Teinte paper of a sandy tint.

How wonderful that you can do things like this from memory, Niall, and people know the location! I like this very much and think you did a good job with the greens, which can be a challenge.
