Not exactly. But maybe. It's going to be a very strange Christmas family-wise this year as my ex and oldest son are going to visit her parents but my daughter is staying here in Denver with me for the actual holiday, but her brother (the Trooper) will be here the week before.....
Oh and I'm on-call at work Christmas week -- as well as Thanksgiving week!

You see JJ? Anne still reads your posts and she is helpful as well. Did you notice that there was a right click involved? :smug:
Thank you Anne, but there is no-where there that says view :(

Whatchu talkin' 'bout Willis?
and what Operating System are you on?
did you figggur it out? I'm not sure what you are saying but if you right-click on blank part of the task bar, click properties, start menu, customize then scroll down the list there is a check box for "Show Small Icons in Start menu" -- check or uncheck as desired. ;)Willis is confused.
I am operating on Vista evaluation copy which comes standard with the laptop.
I inadvertantly clicked something and made the icons on the task bar by the clock really, really, small. Clicking view and checking large icons, only changes the icon size in the start menu and on the desk top..sigh

I'm not very familiar with vista but if you right click that same way but don't choose Start Menu, it is Taskbar and there is a customization button -- maybe there is something there? (there is nothing I'm seeing in XP which is what I use) - Vista might be different.
There us also a "Restore Defaults" button that might take it back to what it was...

I have right clicked on everything there is to right click, I have unchecked and rechecked everything there is to click in the task bar area, plus a whole heap of other places. Arrrrrrrgh. Guess I am stuck with teeny tiny icons.. sigh!

That's totally weird. Do you have a "Restore to a previous time" -- if you have a restore point prior to when the icons changed, maybe reverting to a previous time might fix it.
Under system tools (on XP) there is a "System Restore" - might be worth a shot. If it doesn't work you can go back to the current system time.
