View Full Version : WDE Nov 6 Peppers and MI later

Hi everyone! Thanks so much to AlainJ for the fabulous photos, it was so hard to choose, but I picked three and hope to get to the other two sometime this week. I was so busy last weekend/week I missed the WDE :(.
My husband is a woodturner and he just turned me a wonderful graphite stick holder (complete with built in sharpener) out of olive wood. I was originally drawn to the pepper image because of the colors, but was itching to test out my new artist's pencil (I may do the image in color later)! This is graphite (4B) on 8x10 canson drawing paper at 1.5 hours. I may go back and play with the shading a values a bit more later but I ran out of time for this session.

Lovely job! Please share the results of the charcoal holder. We were just discussing charcoal and it's messiness on the scavenger hunts.
