Here is my gallery for October. I have started a blog devoted to this challenge so you can see each painting along with details of how each was done. I'd love for you to visit the blog! www.milesofcanvas.blogspot.com (http://www.milesofcanvas.blogspot.com)

I'm trying to catch up, but decided this will be it for October - I took the time to frame them all in black frames, no mat. They look decent - my fav so far is my last one, but I do have to confess I spent a bit more time on it as I was very unhappy with the trees (approx. 1 hour)
Here's my gallery -

Gosh, it's great seeing these altogether - great work everybody!

Finally got around to taking pics of my last two challenge paintings (from last week, I guess), and putting them in the little gallery grid that Charlie made. I won't bother posting the larger versions of #15 and #16 to the gallery, but they are here:

Sonya--it's a terrific bunch! Very interesting...
Kat, They're all neat, but I like the third one. Show us how they look in the black frames!
Oops, goofed and repeated an image here... thinking snow too much, I guess. Now I'll have to go look at my paintings again and untangle this. (Where is that head banging smilie when you need it?)

Wow!!! What an awesome collection! These are amazing - each and every single one! You are all so creative!

I took a photo of them at our 1st Friday Art Walk Open Studio -
I have to confess - I am not going to continue with the challenge. I've found a new technique I am exploring and I want to move forward with that.
This has been most inspiring and this new technique has grown out of the challenge.

Thanks, Donna! I needed that. http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/10-Nov-2009/23609-97763-emot-doh.jpg There.
Kat, sounds exciting. Can't wait for the unveiling... and I think these look TERRIFIC in the black frames!

Wow, what a great group -- all of you!!!
Sonya, your gallery is wonderful, did you follow the same technique for all of them?
Deb, I love how you played with the colors in yours --
Kathryn, FRAMED! I think they all look good, I particularly like the winter scene, but if I look again -- I'll change my mind.
Thanks to everyone for sharing there work in this challenge.

I have to say that I just love looking at these galleries and seeing how all the paintings look next to eatch other! I was checking them out as people were putting them up, but didn't get a chance to comment. I sort of forgot about it after I put my gallery, but now that it's been bumped up again, I get to enjoy them again.
Kathryn - those look just fantastic in the simple black frames! I love the colors you chose for each, but for some reason, my eye keeps coming back to the winter one with the yellow sky and blue mtns. The colors and the "stick trees" of winter - not sure, but I really like it.
Deborah and Nancy - thank you for your comments :).
Nancy - when I look at all your, my eye is drawn in particular to the ones with pinks/reds - #11. I don't remember seeing that in the weekly challenge for some reason. Maybe it's that it just looks so different when placed next to the others.
Deborah - I didn't realize that the two winter paintings were the same until I re-read your comment on there again :o . The colors are actually quite different! I think the last two are my faves.
Okay, now I'm curious: for everyone who participated, which one of yours is *your* favorite, if you have one? Kathryn said the last one was hers. Mine is either #5 or #7.

I finished up the second group of portraits #10 - #18....I guess some red hats and rimmed glasses I would have a bunch of Santa's! Once again all portraits are timed from 15-20 minutes and done mostly on canson paper. #17 was done on a piece of LaCarte. Mixture of NuPastels, Rembrandts and Ludwigs

These are wonderful especially considering the time limits .
I am looking forward to seeing them all grouped.

Just a note to let you know that this thread will be moved to the Library as of the end of the year... That means you can view it there but you can't post to it.
(There's more information in post #181 of the original ***I CHALLENGE YOU*** (http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=585905&page=5) thread on how to take part in the challenge, if you want to give it a go.)
