Wow, beautiful work, Arnold! I really like the look of the wet sand in the second one but all are terrific!

I am amazed how you can produce five demos of this caliber in one weekend. The paintings are very diverse and beautiful, Arnold. Your students are very lucky to have someone with your talent teach them.

This is breathtaking!
I like the sharp angles, the strong contrasts in opposition to the more diffused areas of the painting. What pastels do you use, if I may ask?

Wow Arnold! Your work is magnificent and dramatic. The people in your class were very lucky to have seen these pieces unfold.

as someone who has only been painting and drawing for about a year I can certainly say that being lucky enough to attend this residential course has done wonders for my confidence. Watching Arnold create his paintings as he explained process and tips in a very amusing and accessable way was an amazing learning experience. Many of the others attending were of a much higher level but both Arnold and the group made me feel at ease. I will post a before and after picture once i can upload them and you can see for yourself that Arnold has had an effect on my painting! I would encourage anyone who can to attend Urchfont next year but not till I have booked my place!

Beautiful works as usual Arnold. I wish I had been at Urchfont Manor. From what gdr had to say sounds like you are as good a teacher as you are an artist.

Such a wondeful way with pastel. I think of Turner a little in these paintings. Kudos, Derek

Sorry I have not reponded sooner but I have been away a lot teaching. The demos all took about 30-40 minutes and were painted on full sheets of Canson Mi-Tientes pastel paper. I like to paint standing up
Thank you for the kind comments
