I was a bit concerned that since I'm showing no water
should it be a marine painting?I decided not to spit hairs
over it~

It has a Marine environment, Frank, a beach, looking inland, but recognisable as such, so it's OK.

Looks great Frank and the color of the sand is just so perfect to show evening is well on its way.

Thanks Anne and Brian~ When I started out painting
there were times when I would exaggerate color but now
I find that sometimes nature needs no exaggeration.Just
to get it near to what we see is enough of a challenge

I like this because it isn't busy and yet says so much.

Hi Frank, this painting is a favourite of mine, the composition is simple but with enough interest to hold the viewer. The sky is really beautiful, soft focus and the tones are nicely running through the whole painting to produce a harmonious feel. Very peaceful.

Thank you Caroline, I was looking at your site and archives
and find so much simplicity beauty and power in your work.
I am a fan! I particularly like " Storms of Silence "
Young painters have much to learn in your work!

This is a beautiful piece! You've really captured both the place and the time of day. The sky looks so real...I've seen some like that! And the light on the grasses is exquisite, done with a delicate touch.
