Hi,

I already introduced myself at the Welcome Forum.
In this topic I will show some portraits I've already made the past few months/years. I begin with my most recent works. The quality of the pictures is sometimes not very good.

This is me when I was 4 years old. Some information: A3/120gr/HB-9B/6 ours.

Welcome to D&S, Wiebe!

These are wonderful portraits! I was going to name the one that I liked best, but I can't. I like them all! Each one has something special in it. I am teaching myself portraiture and am very interested in other portrait work. Hope to see more of yours on this forum.

Nicely done! Welcome to D&S Wiebe!

Do I understand correctly that the time spent on these ranges from 4 to 6 hours? Wow! Fast results !

Wiebe, you have done really great portraits. I like the first and the second.

How do you work? Do you measure, or use tracing paper, or make comparisons at the pc?

Wellcome!!!

Saludos

@visualmusic
Yes, drawings on A3 paper it costs me most of the time 6 ours. Drawings on A4 paper it costs me 4 ours.

@luicre
I print a picture and then I measure the size of the eyes etc. I'm tryin to reduce that ;) Know I only measure the eyes, nose and mouth a lot cause when those three things don't correspond with the reality (even it is a few mm to long or short) the resemblance is a lot less.

(I hope you understand what I'm trying to say in my best English ;) )

Grz,

Wiebe

This are all really good. I am just trying to get the hang of drawing people and portraits and am always happy to see great examples to learn from. They are very realistic and you got the likeness down well too.

Thanks for showing them
Jacqui
