Another very cool painting La, hate to say anything of your elegant little tree, some more green stuff upper left corner would make me happy. I would hang it in my house!

I think you can do more with it, La.

It might be fun to see how far you can follow an absurd premise - trees growing thru stairs, etc into "realism" and use the logic of the absurd as a mirror of reality.

itsajem, thanks man! more green eh ... will wiggle some of that in. :)

tg, did you just make that up or is it direct from a country song?! :cat:

bill, more i could do and it would/will be fun, but it's the logic of the absurd that i use to avoid having to do the reality  ... whilst i'm wiggling greens (etc) i'll try to push some more absurd reality around, thanks much :)

yes indeed...reality is absurd....I so much prefer your world.....http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/22-Aug-2009/182771-margaritasmile2.gif
boy howdy...bet you wore out the ruler on this one....love it.....
is her head & toes really so close to the canvas edges...?
I think the "cap frame" will go really well with all the steps......hahaha....yd

Hi La..... I was gonna say "Yes please" ....but now I'm not so sure .... it looks a little unsafe there and she looks embarrassed and unsure of herself as well as a little sad....not sure what to do next or where to step even ....but she certainly gets the viewer thinking and I do love those warm colours you have used .... intriguing painting ....

yarddog, um 'cap frame'? what's that? head-yes, toes-not anymore :cat:

mooz, yeah, agreed, i tweaked today, is this more friendly? for best results please keep all limbs inside the vessel; enter stage right it's closer to the fridge :D:heart:

Thanks for your eyes - i :heart:love:heart: em!

find the mouse?

kittywillow seems to have found some milk

I do the painting. Little Richard does the singing (Long Tall Sally)
Click here and put your dancing shoes on

oh my....you dressed her...even shoes....and I think she got prettier....
or perhaps it's just the tequila...hahaha
.....I now am wondering what she's standing on...I kinda liked her in the hole...like the tree...
now she fairly floats...I repeat...........perhaps it's the tequila...hahaha

cap frame?....thin wood strips...just caps the canvas edges...no overlap...
tacked right to the canvas....I'm sure it has a real name....that I don't know....yd

hehe, Thanks guys = )

tg, had never seen him so young! voice hasn't changed a bit tho, incredible. he just always has been a performer,
i watched the whole thing = )

doggy, yeah, clothes, not really my thing ... tequila on the other hand ... have ye tried oranges and cinnamon (instead of lemon/salt) - mnmmmn ; )

she's standing on the steps (in pretty good shape eh, to balance like that !) it's a tension thing, no? plays along with the game of cat and mouse ... likely altered slightly when adding tequila lol ... perhaps it's a challenge ... if yer gonna drink with me ya gotta balance before ya drink and still be able to do it after ya drink

kidding of course, i don't much care if you can stand at the end of a night of drinking so long as you're fun, lol

ohhhh iiii know what cap frames are now, or whatever they're called, ya ya = )

anyway, she's been fun to paint but i'm not seeing a lot of resale value to her ... my womenfolk don't have a strong selling success unless their eyes are closed ... must ... branch ... out ....with that in mind i'm thinking of just turning her into a tree and calling it a funky landscape ... perhaps wip was the place for this creature of a canvas as it seems i cannot just let it rip lol

....yes La ....I see the mouse .....but that gorgeous cute little kitty doesn't see it ..... it is so perplexed at what the much more confident looking girl is doing and is probably wondering how she is able to kinda float .... I love that kitty .... I think you are having fun with this one and that is what it's all about isn't it?:D

okay, my deepest apologies - the woman has left the deck and taken her margarita with her ... the cat followed (and will probably sneak around and eat the mouse). pls excuse the glare.

i'm really trying to be more viewer friendly, more sale-able ...

omg......it's a magic trick.....http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/24-Aug-2009/182771-invisible.gif

Good grief...*...I was just feeling safe having determined that the Margarita invitation referred to the drink not the woman of the name, she became quite respectable and enchanting even, and then...*... no way am I venturing on to that deck La! ( but then that empty deck looks quite fetching La!)

08-26-2009, 01:19 AM
hey doggy ... http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/25-Aug-2009/84648-dog.gif oils are just the greatest magic ever!

corby, aww, it's okay, i'll hold you're hand so you don't fall off the edge ... did you want roller skates with your margarita?:wink2::heart:

Thanks guys, for your thoughts and patience !

with a couple more little tweaks to cover up the major tweaks i think it has potential to be a companion piece to 'my front step' [which hasn't sold yet but at least gets good remarks from my local redneck population]
