MY COMMENTS:
Pond 2 is Interactive acrylics on watercolor canvas. I painted this scene before - in a painting called "Sunday Pond. " This time I worked from a photo so the colors are a little more pumped up. (I love the interactive pthalo blues - there are 2 shades of them - one is more red, one is more blue. so pretty!) I had fun trying to do watercolor effects on canvas, so I bought one of the "watercolor" canvases. the canvas was smooth, but I used some of Chroma's binder medium first. it's supposed to help "seal a surface." I used just water with a bit of slow medium to thin my paint, and I got the colors to layer or blend beautifully. I could even lift out touch dry paint! I blended some more the next day using that unlocking formula stuff, and it reopened the paint so I could scratch into it using the back of the paint brush.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Please give some feedback!

It's a small image, but it looks really nice!

It's interesting how you approached the technique. Thanks for the explanation.
I don't use acrylics, but the idea that they can be made to stay open is a big advantage.

Your image looks very pretty.. would be nice if it were larger so I could really look at it better.

Thanks for looking! It is very cool that the Interactives can be made to stay wet when I need them to - and not, when I need them to! I learned a lot, by looking at the Chroma site - www.chromaonline.com (http://www.chromaonline.com/). There's lots of info. there, and some really inspiring work from artists, too.
