Oh the joy of releasing a tune.... not sure these work but they were fun trying.

The background on the yellow one with green spots is acrylic with drips.

Barb C&C Please.... Each are about 8" x 10"

These guys are great Barb! As always, you have managed to depict such vibrant energy! I like the drippy background - it works!

Thanks - that's good because they are my least favorite... I figure however that you can't please all the people all the time. And.... what I don't like someone else may enjoy. Quick art work for the Garage Sale Wall in my studio!

Barb, very nice, i see you have the same problem i get. i have some that i think came out great and some so so. I tend to find the ones i think are so so are the one that sell more then the ones i think came out great. go figure.

I really like that first one Barb. He looks like a real crooner.

Zing up Pavarotti's eye, and lighten that ground on the first on for me... I like his cocky head and attitude. Maybe some yellow-orange bits on the comb up top.

Sorry, #2 just ain't cuttin' it for me. Please forgive me...uh, I shouldn't even say it...well...okay, forgive: the green looks like something coming out of her mouth! Poor thing! (ducking and running, 'cause others liked it...)

Love your animals, Barb, you know I do!

 Really imaginative and expressive! Love them----Do you have Roosters of your own?? I used to and I got a kick out of them, these remind me of how they were! Most anyone would love one of these cocky fellows hanging in their home!

So many comments to reply to.

I just want to get one of those mouths big... I may have to really enlarge these pieces into something grander! LOL

Deborah, I agree the weakest of the two (and I personally find them both weak) is the second one.

I'm thinking I need to put them into context... ie: time for an interesting background.

Anyway - I'm babbling. NO... I don't have roosters or chickens - but I like visiting them and getting to watch them.

So... happy painting in the dust everyone. I'm off to prepare for another show or two.
