 It's been a while since I've been here and I've never posted any pictures. Finding time for anything is hard, let alone the internet. But I need to get myself out there and want to show what I've got. I took my first workshop last June and think I've come quite a ways in a year. But that's just my opinion. I Hope you don't get bored w all the pics!! I have to get a new Picture of my studio and then I'll post that too!! So here goes:

Wow! those are great sets! I'm curious....what is the blue "crystalline" glass you're using in your 4th and second to last beads?

Thanks for your positive remarks, Duane. The blue 'crystalline' glass is actually dichroic glass, bought as pre-fused sticks from Arrow Springs. They sell an assortment bundle and I believe the color is rainbow on clear. If you don't know, dichroic glass comes in a plethora of colors and patterns on black or clear glass, and can be purchased as sticks or sheets. Different COE's as well. Hope this helps

I was thinking dichroic, but then I was telling myself that there was something different in the bead, too. I have purchased AS's dichroic strips
before...but they're all gone now.

Baby girl you are beyond newbie. SO give yourself credit, a smile and a whole lot of confidence to keep going creatively strong! But in some ways I hope we all stay newbies in our new paths and glass adventures.

Thank you everyone for your supposrt and encouragement - we all need it no matter how new we are. I just feel that finding my own signature style is by far the hardest part. There's soooooooooooooooo many sources of inspiration my head is just bogged down with it all. Hopefully it'll come in time along with the recognition/success!!

Duane, I also used pale blue ocean odd over the dichro - that's where the blue comes from - the beads are then wrapped in silver wire which is melted in.

I don't see one newbie bead, but so glad you are showing off! See so many that catch my eye, but my favorites are the floral sets in the second picture. So bright and cheerful.

Yes, please contribute in the daily show and tell so we can continue to admire your work.

lol... funny. I am thinking of how I can do that, put a Santa hat on one of my fish. I am in from torching and I made 2 fish and 1 marble - have to wait until tomorrow to see them though.
