Hi All,
I bought a new (and cheap) #10 brush so I thought of using it this afternoon.
Here's the popular monk in WC on 6x9 WC paper.

Joel, it's never too late. Your brush did a beautiful job and the colors are so rich. Love it and will post in gallery now.

Thanks Ruby! It doesn't look so rich IRL but am quite happy with the final outcome. BTW, I spent about an hour and a half with lots and lots of stops.

Nice painting Joel, I like the simplistic lines of the BG, it gives life and depth to the painting.

Joel, Great red against the greens. You caught those folds and shadows well also. Some people think the brush doesn't matter as long as the support is appropriate for the medium and the paints are of good quality. You seem to have proven that here. Lovely painting.

Great painting of the monk, I'm glad you decided to jump in late. The robe is gorgeous, and so are the skin tones and trees in the background. It's fun using a big round sometimes, especially when it's very pointed to get into the details. Gorgeous rich saturated color too.
