Thank you very much everyone! This is just one more reason I think of WC as "Family". Scotty this was a very nice suprise when I read it this morning, but I had to run off to swimming class. I've had a marvelous day - had "rock star" parking places all day long. Parking at the pool in the summertime is pretty awful, but I got a spot right in front, and then when I went to my hair specialist, I got the one spot directly in front of the front door! The weather is exceedingly beautiful today - temps in the high 70's and a bright blue sky. We don't always have that in the NorthWET this time of year. In fact, we generally don't get summer until after the fourth of July... I bought more flowers for my patio pots, and planted most of them, and now I'm waiting for my family to finish making dinner. My husband made my birthday cake, a sponge cake from scratch. he's done this for over 30 years so I'm looking forward to having that for dessert. Bob is not a baker, and for him to have taken on this particular cake, and learned to do it perfectly too is very much appreciated.

Happy B'Day to Canada too - but I think Canada is older!

:grouphug: to all of you from me.

End Note: My day was complete with homemade baked chicken enchaladas, beer, and my favorite homemade sponge cake (no icing, thank you). Not exactly a dieter's menue, but one can't eat sensibly all the time! :cat: My 3 year old granddaughter sang "Happpy Birthday" three times during the day, and helped blow out the fire on my cake... even the dogs and cats "gave" me birthday cards, and others included plenty of books with theirs. They all know I don't need more pastels or art supplies as I seem to have more than I'll use in two lifetimes... and still I buy more for myself!!!

Thank you again dear WC Family for the well wishes.

Late to the party, as usual, but HAPPY BELATED B-DAY, Peggy! I've always believed in stretching out a celebration as far as you can make it go...

Yah - me too! (the part about stretching the celebration anyway.) Today my bestest friend took me to a new Italian place that serves Neopolitan style pizza - they use authentic ingredients from Italy, and import the wood for their wood burning ovens. Before they opened - the end of June - they had the ovens/kitchen blessed by a priest! Oh yes, and they also serve your choice of dessert for free to the b'day person. :) It was all very delicious!

Holy Cow! - now that's what I call a holy pizza! Sounds yummy!
