Thought this would be a quick easy one but it wasn't as simple and quick as I thought. Wanted a break from cleaning and packing so I thought this would be the ticket. I liked the contrast in light in this and the simplicity. C&C welcome.

Don't know why my scan turnout blurry at the bottom.

That chair makes an interesting subject, Valerie, with part of it in the light and part of it in the shadows. I might have left a little more room at the bottom of the paper but I think you did a very good job on this.

Hi Valerie, nice the blue in the chair stands out nicely with all the warm colours around it.

It is lovely, hidden, private. Easy? (snort), chairs are hard! Great choice to make the handle like thingy less prominent, now the chair is the star!

Thanks for all the great comments. As a beginner your comments are very informative and a boost to my confidance. I'm hoping to get another picture done before I leave at 4:00 am Weds for up state NY. We're driving with 4 people in the car so space will be limited. Am taking a pad and pastel pencils.
