Hello - not as new to Dick Blick as I am to this forum and to living abroad. Just moved to Mexico City last September and I am finally running out of supplies that I brought with me from the states. Anyone out there have experience getting international dickblick.com orders to Mexico City and could you help me out with ideas on approximate shipping costs and import taxes [if any apply down here ]? Thanks so much for the assistance. _Tklumpp

Thank you for your interest in our company!

We do ship to Mexico. However, we have recently encountered a problem with Mexican Customs. They have not been allowing any liquids, powder or any other materials through customs that may contain contraband. They may require the recipient to provide an importer license. Please check with your customs office before placing an order to ensure your order will be delivered. If you do place an order and the package is returned you will be billed shipping, taxes, duties and brokerage fees.
In order to obtain accurate shipping charges we are asking that you place your order on line.If you do not enter credit card information, you will need to select pay by check. Do not send payment until you receive the actual shipping charges. Once you have selected items and put them in your shopping cart, click "pay with check or credit card". You will then need to select "non US address" before entering in your information. Once you have reached the screen that asks for payment information, you may choose to give a credit card, or pay by check or money order. We will email you a shipping quote in 2-3 business days. You will then be asked to approve or cancel the order within seven days. We do not bill credit cards until orders ship and we will not ship international orders without customer approval on actual shipping charges.
We ship by International Priority Mail (if merchandise total is under US$200) and FedEx International. The shipping method and cost depends on the weight of the order, the size of the items ordered and the shipping destination.
Delivery time for Int’l Priority Mail is 2-3 weeks, this service is not traceable. Fed Ex Int’l delivery time is approximately 10 business days. Delivery time is from the time we receive your approval on actual shipping charges. We do not offer rush delivery out of the USA.
All prices are in US funds, we do not convert currency. We will not ship hazardous items out of the 48 contiguous US states or to freight forwarders. We will not ship electrical products out of North America or to freight forwarders.
You may pay by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, bank draft, money order, or wire transfer. We will not give wire transfer information until an order has been placed. You will need the order number to use as reference.

The recipient is responsible to pay any applicable taxes and duties. Each country determines these charges so we do not know what those costs will be. Depending on the location we are shipping to, and the carrier used, brokerage fees will also be collected if required.

In addition, Blick attempts to ship every order correct and free from damage or defect. However, these types of issues do arise occasionally. Customers who receive damaged or defective items or who are missing items on international orders will be compensated with a refund of the item(s) in question. Blick will not be responsible for exchanges or returns on international orders.
If an issue does arise concerning a damage, defect or missing item, please contact blickinternational@dickblick.com (blickinternational@dickblick.com) with 30 days for a possible refund.

If you need more information, please let us know.
