From something found on Google Street View...

Paris at night is the best. I envy you who can find these scenes on Google. My Google won't do it for me. Maybe I need to pay...

It looks like the street is wet. If that's the case I think some longer headlight reflections would be just the thing to make it more exciting. If not forget I said anythng.:)

Marie - Thanks for posting your thoughts. Doesn't cost anything. Doesn't work in all cities and towns. You don't see the little orange man?

Drag him to a street and let go!

OK. I'll check that out later. Thanks

Thanks, Dalas. Go on Googles maps to Paris, for example, and drag the little orange guy to a street.

Wow, check out that sky.

Excellent painting Bob! Love the sunset sky with the heavily darkened street level.

Oh, Google Earth right? A friend I have has lately been talking about the amazingness of this Google Earth.

Thanks everyone for the great comments. Some times in street view you notice in the upper righthand corner a thumbnail. Click on that and you see a string of user images of that location. These are often much better photos and that's what I used for this painting.

Great Idea!!
Wonderful painting, love the sky!!

I Didn't know you could do that on Google! Cool painting!

Thanks, Ruthie! I didn't know either till I stumbled on Bill's new blog:

Look for 'User's Photos' in the upper right corner. Click on that. Best pictures are there.

I really like this, especially the contrast of the sky! Very nice!

Google map has some interesting photos. I recently discovered 2 covered bridges within a few miles of my house that I didn't know existed, so drove out to see them in person.

Thanks, Mrs. Willow. Yes, very interesting.

Deb - Did a similar exploration on the north side of the Spokane river and discovered a whole world!
