MY COMMENTS:
My first commissioned pet portrait. (sorry about the shine on the left side, I'm kicking myself for not taking the time to get a better picture)

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
I don't really know any other artists so I'm just looking for any feedback - if I'm going in the right direction or if anyone notices anything out of place or has pointers that'd be great!

Spectacular job with capturing the image and brushstrokes and colors. Personally I dislike vignetted portraits but I'm sure many others find them compelling.

The hair is amazing! I'm wondering if you could 'sink' his eye on our right by indicating a bit of hair in front of it? It isn't seating as well as the one on the shadow side (particularly at the top).

This is a small thing. Do you have the reference?

I agree with Bob, actually, about vignetting portraits. But also, that a lot of people like them, too. I think it's personal taste.

Thank you everbody! Yes I do have the reference photo. I see what you mean about the eye. (I tried to add the photo just now, but for some reason it uploads it but it won't post it  ). That's funny, I hadn't even noticed that it was vignetted, it was just a blue background haha. It looks darker in the photo, but it is lighter than it looks on the upper right hand side.

I love it - adorable, adorable, adorable :) I also like the slow fade of his body to just suggest the hair but not over-produce on it. It really brings the focus to the face. Excellent work :)
