The lake is such an odd place to be...can be real windy during the day where a person opts out of boating to be safe on shore...but when evening sneaks in , the water's waves iron out to siamese twin the sky, a reflective h2O mirror of dusk's darkening approach. This is a mini-mural, around 42" long. I have the entire length of the scene in the first picture.

Thank U, Arlene...what works best is to paint on location, and I hope to practice plein air...never was a participant too many times with a paintbrush...it was always drawing and sketching before.

I have this (what I call a mini-mural) installed directly into the laundry wall backing the kitchen...where there was this goofy open space in the wall. It aways annoyed me...this slot in the wall...because it meant having to keep the laundry room warmer, and it also allowed the noise of the washer and dryer to share crankin' noises throughout. Installing the panel saved me from tearing up a bunch of wallpaper...it was the lazy person's way of handling a problem...now...solved!!!!

I think it was a very artistic solution to a problem!

Wonderful painting...I love the colors you used!

Dee...isn't it a great feeling when the remedy actually is an easy thing to do? It makes it fun to look at in the laundry room...a very boring place to be! It will be kind of hard (when selling the house), to explain to someone why a painting has been installed directly into the wall, though....but it does have a pretty frame! (House SOLD to the couple who just wants the frame)!
