Some dear friends gave us this amaryllis for Christmas. We enjoyed watching it grow and bloom during the winter. I painted this from my photos.
Medium: You know it-acrylic
Size: 7 1/2" X 21"
Your honest (yes, even brutal) critiques are always welcomed!

Steven - I love this. The warm palette and the verticle format work so well for this. I adore your background choice. It really sets it off!

Wonderful Steven! Again, I love the tall format and the shadows on the wall. Well done!

wonderful comp, format, palette and loose brush-strokes!
Reminds me of the red amaryllis that my husband and I were given as a gift for our 40th (ruby) wedding anniversary in December (which is the middle of summer here).

No critiques here, as some on that is just learning to paint flowers, I can appreciate the grace that you painted these with.
