You have a lovely painting here. great use of soft values. Just one thing if you will forgive me. The composition brings my eye down left and out of the picture? Perhaps if you worked on something at the base of the mountains on the left? In my humble opininon. Derek

Thank you Elaine and Derek.
Derek I left the paper without color deliberately.

Yes I like the unpainted areas, what I meant was the strong white path that leads down left. Sorry I was unclear. love the painting anyway, Derek

I like this a lot. The shadows under the eaves are my favorite.

Hey Giuseppe! I like your painting very much! It is a very peaceful scene and the use of a brown background works very well with the muted palette you have chosen.

Hi Giuseppe - lovely scene painted in gentle colours - for me, unpainted areas can enhance a painting but here the lateral areas tend to distract - base is OK as that leads your eye into the painting. You might want to try electronically cropping the sides to see if you think it improves things - maybe also rotate a smidgeon clockwise. If you need a program to do this, Picasa is free and simple to use.

I like the painting and really do like your paint application Guiseppe, including the unpainted areas! - it has lots of movement and vitality - fresh.
What troubled me was similar to Derek's feeling I think - the angle of the paint strokes and the path and fence all pulled the eye down and out of the painting to the left ........ cropping it as in post #16 has improved the composition - IMHO! :)
