View Full Version : My art journey is about to get interesting
04-24-2009, 12:25 PM
Some have already heard, in the Different Strokes thread, that I'm expecting a baby Dec 25th!!! My youngest is 8, so this is a major and wonderful surprise. The nursery will have to go in my art room, so I'm sure the wee one will develop an early appreciation for art. At least I hope so! :D Like I said the journey is about to get interesting! I just purchased a vendor's tent for local art shows, so I'm not packing away the brushes. It's a good thing I'll have plenty of help. I'm looking forward to doing a baby portrait next winter.

Congratulations:clap: A baby portrait will definantly be in order. With your youngest being 8 I'm sure its going to be a big change. But art must go on:D My twins just turned two last month. Its really not so bad painting with children under foot, well once you get used to it I guess:rolleyes:

How wonderful for you and your family! I expect to see photos of "it" covered in paint spotches......what a Christmas gift this will be!

Thanks Kim and Gayle. I'll have to learn to get in "the zone" very quickly and just get done what I can. :)

This is why I started using acrylics. They dry fast, and easy cleanup. If you use a stay wet pallet your good to go!

Thanks all! We are all excited. My 8yo is fine with it. I'm giving him extra attention, being he's still my 'baby'. I think it gives him a feeling of importance knowing he'll be a big brother. 16yo sister and 13yo brother are happy, too!
