Unbelievable...first my kiln dies...so I take a 4 hour round trip drive to buy a new one...come home and the oxy concentrator is dead! What next!??
Okay, so maybe I did need some time off.http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/16-Apr-2009/21512-BW-2-1.jpg

Nice work. Love the little frog in the corner. So cute. I quit posting my work in here because I can never get the images to upload. It's probably been that way for over a year now. I bet I'm not the only one too. Too bad they can't fix it.

What a wonderful start to Friday!

Elliot I'm so sorry to hear about your bad luck! That is such a pretty bead and the frog adds just the right amount of cuteness ;D

Beverly I LOVE the colours you have going there!

Anastasia, it seems like I can smell the flowers and hear the drips from the rain in these beads.

Astrid - simply stunning! You know that first one is making me think of an eclipse and being able to see the sun in darkness with all its solar flares bubbling to the surface, wow I really LOVE that   And your masks have such a wonderful style to them. Hope you have a good weekend!

Dancing star that is beautiful shard additions! The last looks like a rock from a mine that is luminescent and glows when you touch it :)

Oh Susan,
Moments like that make one wonder what will happen next!!! I hope there's a brighter scenario coming up on the horizon by now?
Here's some beads I'm trialling after seeing Dawn Ceccacci's raku/intense black twist 'feather technique.
I'm experimenting to see which colour base works best for this effect.
I really liked the pearl grey with the feathered effect - the reaction turned the pearl grey a pinkish colour - very pretty!
and I liked the look of the same twistie on the periwinkle. The lentil bead temps me to make a set of them as 'a keeper'.

I knew you had to turn the oxy up, but this time I turned it way up and just heated the surface a bit. I did that a few times and there was the color!

Thanks for all the nice comments.
