Next in the series of dancers. Not that the first one's completed, I started working on this one anyway :D This one was tougher than the previous one, the face angle was so difficult for me. I am not happy with the face, would like to hear suggestions from you all. Is the hand proportionate this time? I think it looks fine, so if it is not, please let me know :)

This one is 16 * 20 on gallery wrapped canvas. All C & C is welcome:)

Very nice! Love the movement and expression on her face. The hand does appear to be a tad small to me. Her left nostril seems to be a tad off? Other than that nostril I think her face looks good. Nice work!

I love the expression on her face and the angle of it too, is the ear off somehow, should it be closer to her head? Background looks great

I can see the development since the first one. This is wonderfully exciting and free!

Thank you Lee, Susan, Purple, Gayle, Linda, Kathleen and Arlene.

Yeah Lee I need to touch up that nostril, it looks funny. The hand is smaller? Need to check it then. Will do.

Purple, yes, the ear should be closer. I did not realize it until I saw it on my monitor.

Thank you for the encouragement folks, it really helps when experimenting with unknown waters :)

Worked on this a little more, the ears looked like they were disconnected from the face, so I have set that right. (I hope!) And touched up her face a bit, the nostrils etc. Here is the final version, as always open for minor tweaks.

I really feel you capture the joy of the dance in this one Nithya.
Her ear's a tad on the large side though!
If you look at the bit attached to her face, to the right of the hair, then you'll notice how big the rest is! :)
The hands are getting better ;)

Thank you Kathie and JJ. Thanks Maureen, will check the ears. Next time I start a figurative series, I am doing several exercises of drawing hands first :D
