I suppose you all are missing Harold! Well typical of all men, Harold had a toothache and ignored it until it was really bad and got more than he bargained for. He really has had a rough time of it. Lets all send some healing thoughts out to our Harold so that he can find them when he drops in.

Harold! Hurry up and get well our forum isn't the same without you! And....you fill in a very big spot that no one else can fill!

If you haven't had the tooth pulled or root canled yet, get your dentist to do a quickie "medicated filling". I had one one like that just before leaving the country on vacation for a week, and it lasted OVER 2 years, before finally having to root canal the tooh.

I am flossing in your honor even as you read this. I hope they give you 'the good stuff' if you know what I mean.

And I'm beginning to see why men are drawn to beadmaking......notice the m/f ratio? Hmmmm. And all this time I thought it was just the bubblers that drew them in.

You people are too much. Thank you all for the concern, I'm feeling better. I have a date on the 24th...and I have learned a valuable lesson. :)

Poem for today:

Don't delay with tooth decay!

hey harold,
let me know what tooth it is, and i'll make ya one out of glass!

i learned my lesson, now it floss every day.

This wasn't a brushing or floss issue, I have 14 crowns from being hit in the face with a pipe about 20 years ago. The intended recipient ducked and, I didn't see it coming. Anyway, some of the silver that holds the crowns in place came loose from 2 of them and thus the infection. My blunder was delay...more glass now...fix tooth later. I'll send what's left of the extracted teeth for a proper match Mark...please use a hard glass:cool:

so, can I assume that the pipe you were hit with is not a "bubbler"?

Sorry, I just couldnt resist.

Man that had to hurt! Both when you got whacked and the infection! I had the toothache/root canal/severe pain thing awhile back. After the specialist poked, proded, chilled, etc., each tooth to try and figure out which one was the problem for sure (pain radiated, not specific to a tooth) they sent me home and said "well, it'll show itself soon enough. Go home and call us when it does." HUH? I've been doped up for days, your the high paid specialist, and you're telling me to go home and wait until the specific tooth "shows itself"? I don't THINK SO...

I was amazed it how "painless" the eventual root canal was (relatively speaking) - main problem is keeping your mouth open for three hours... But they've got all kinds of cool technology now... Hope it all is virtually painless for you. And I'll save all my dental horror stories for another time - like after your appointment...;)

Hang in there.

As you know....I'm nothing but a fellow student...today a very legally drugged one. However, I won't forget who started this thread my Dear Ingrid:evil:

Thanks Laura....I think I feel something...Hmmm

Nope, they don't like the cuddling stuff, neither does the wife nor baby...they all prefer to wrestle with me. I've had that problem with most for a long time now.

Oh Harold I feel for ya! I just had a horrible toothache (wisdom tooth) that I thought was going to kill me! Of course it was during the fourth of July holiday when all the oral surgeons were on vacation. Well, when I finally got to the dentist I gave them a show!:o She had to prescribe me some valium to get me to come back! Had to be I.V. sedated to have the tooth removed. Can you say "dental phobic" EeeeeeeeeeK! The horror. Positive vibes your way buddy! ~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~

Well Harold -
I'm so sorry to read this all tonight. But you must be feeling better, since you've posted tonight, yes??

I hope the dr. gave you some really good drugs & sending healing wishes your way!

Miss Kate :D (showing you her teeth with 0 cavities) Oh, sorry that was mean, mean, mean of me.....

All of a sudden, I'm possessed by an irresistable urge to make a dental-motif set of beads....

Take care, Harold. We miss you. Seriously.

08-19-2002, 09:57 PM
Hmmm, teeth beads..?
Glad you're better Harold. Missed you.

08-19-2002, 11:03 PM
Mistymade, I'm with ya on this one. Gas me to even look in my mouth. When I had my wisdom tooth out, the doc and assistant took one look at me and said "No, you aren't going through this conscious." I win the award for worst patient. No more noble patient attempts for me. Age has brought the wisdom to accept the advances of medicine, especially the development of good drugs.

Harold, maybe the bead fairy will come with little toothy beads for you.

Will this little tooth do? It has clear light rose wings in the back. And it comes complete with 'crown' halo. Its one of two teeth beads I made as a gift for my dentist & hygenist. I shamelessly copied - I mean got the idea - from Sharon Peters' site. Smartassglass.com - she better keep that registration fee up to date because I doth covet it greatly!

08-20-2002, 11:58 AM
Oh....Harold....hope your feeling better soon...

08-20-2002, 12:13 PM
Lori, I really love it. I'd have to use it as the molar replacement...it's a very unique eye tooth.:D

Thanks Catharine, mistymade, BeadMax, Miss Kate, Ann, and Tink...I'm feeling better

Richard...does this mean you're not coming to Florida:(
