I hope everyone has had a happy Easter. Thanks Elaine for hosting and the wonderful photos. I am pretty tired now so will finish commenting tomorrow.
I started this on Saturday and gave up after about half an hour. I picked it up again tonight and started playing and kinda liked what was happening. The drawing took about an hour and then the painting took about 2 hours in between phone calls. It is acrylic ink on paper 10 x 7 inches.
Thanks for looking, all C and C welcome
Christine

Christine, It is so pretty. How are acrylic inks different? Probably a dumb question but have not heard of them. It almost looks like a water color. Love the colors you used.

Thank you everyone for your comments and interest.
Mary and Vicki, I believe the acrylic inks are more stable and light fast than your normal calligraphy inks. I am drawn to them because of the vibrant colours and first learned of them on this site. Charlies Mum does beautiful work with them and has a demonstration here somewhere that she did a few years ago. I will try and find it for you
Ah found it - here is the link

Wow I would have sworn that was one of Valri's paintings! The colors and style are similar. It really packs a punch. I love the loose blending and your choice of colors rocks. The center is excellent! Very pretty.
