Another street scene for my Urban Impressions show to be in May. I did another version of this same scene in oil about two months ago that was horizontal and larger than this that I posted in the landscape forum. Thught I would mention this in case you thought this looked familiar!

Title: "Brew Time" ( Foothills Brewery in foreground on right)
Medium: Acrylic ( this is the forum!)
Size: 14" X 18"

Your honest (yes, even brutal) critiques are always welcomed!

It's a great street scene Steven! The red car draws you right into the picture. Well done!

Nice piece. You really captured the feel of drinking outdoors on a sunny afternoon.

Great color palette. Like the sense of time and space along with the softness of the light. Great shadows.

I like this, the splashes of red work well against the green of the trees :)

I too love the red of the car and the store fronts, good distance too in the painting.

This painting has "it!"
I could not point to any one thing that catches my eye.
Everything works so well here.
How relaxing and apropos re the title.

I just love your street scenes. So lively and colorful, and you capture just the right values with brevity and confidence. There is also a playfulness. very nice to look at. Derek
P.S. good luck with the show.
