New to WC wish to say hi

Well I hope this is the right place to put this. My name is Maxine I am the mother of 6 and grandma to 8. I have just spent the last 60 min or so reading all the messages. Much to the dismay of my last teen at home. Since I am tying up the phone line.LOL I never thought of an artist date, what a great idea. I am planing my first one, and since I live very close to the wilderness like it starts across the street. I think I'll take my camera a bag of frozen grapes ( a great treat btw ) and see what I can see. We have a lot of bears, wolfs, bald eagles and a viriaty of wild birds that I can photograph. At the moment I just do collages, and am trying to work up the courage to try watercolours. I am so excited about joining this group of wonderful people and hope in some small way I can contribute. So Hi to all and I hope you all have a great day....and a wonderful time on your own art date. Love that idea.

Welcome to Wc. I have discovered that this community is very welcoming to newbies. I grew up in Northern Idaho close to wilderness areas..I miss all the time spent doing exactly what you plan for your Artist date. I could be a little envious..:D You will have to tell us all about it!

Hi Maxine and welcome to WC ! :) If you are interested in watercolor did you check out the watercolor forum?? I have spent several days there already and its fun and you just might learn something.....
