View Full Version : Squirrel lunch

I stopped at a park in Gladstone on my way home today and caught some pics I was kind of pleased with.
Cross Park

This little guy was taking his lunch up the tree. I'm afraid I frightened him and he dropped his apple but he came down again and picked it back up. He was about 8 feet or more up the tree. It doesn't look like it because the tree was on a steep bank.

These are after he dropped it.

LOL Looks like he worked hard to get that apple up the tree! Nice shots.

LOL, he is so cute! You got some humorous shots here...it's a shame some of them area little un-sharp ....that last one would have been great with a little flash to fill in the light, it might have come out sharper, too! #5 adn #6 are nice and sharp, and look at that face! That is a very pretty park, too...wish I lived near it! Thanks for sharing these!

Nice pictures Sherry and what a beautiful place! I like the one where he is looking at you as if to say: Now....see what you made me do! So...which camera do you use the most?

Hi Steve,

I have had the kodak for a few years and love it but the battery life is awful and I wanted more zoom so I got the Nikon and it is the one I use most of the time. I wanted one I could put in my pocket or purse for those times I really can't carry a bigger one, so I recently got the Sony but haven't given it much of a test yet.

By the way, I checked out your website and your drawings are amazing!

Norm & Mary thanks.

When I saw this little guy climbing up that tree with that great big apple in his mouth I just prayed I would have time to get a couple shots before he disappeared but when he dropped it and came down he almost seemed to be poseing for me.

Great fun - what a great story the sequence tells.
