Hi,

today I show you the next three encaustic postcards, made last spring (after I started with watercolours, I have not touched the wax iron... but maybe soon)

I like the feather and the crocus, the first one seems a bit too few for my eyes :), go on...

I love the blue in the last one.

The first one is somewhat reminiscent of an oriental landscape. I find it quite appealing.

Wow... all so different and appealing. I especially like the first for the monochromatic flow. I like your ability to limit it and not go too far. It's beautifully elegant and, like Howard said, very much like an oriental painting...

Kiitos = thanks for your feedback, all of you. Yes, the first one looks a bit oriental, I had not noticed it earlier. This was my first "iron and scrape" test - first I painted with the iron, then looked at the result and figured our it could become a fairytale castle if I remove some details by scratching with a palette knife. Then I scratched the lower part, wanted to have a river flowing by. It was lot of fun, and a good way to wake up the fantasy! What a pity it would not be that easy in larger size!

Basically, I like the feather most. It is a piece of black cardboard and the feather was made within a couple of seconds. Sometimes even a blind hen finds a corn
