GENERAL INFORMATION:
Title: TIGER TIGER
Year Created:
Medium: Pencil
Surface: Paper
Dimension: 5X7
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!

MY COMMENTS:
I have become obsessed with big cats - still having cropping problems due to mat size and propensity to draw half off the page - help!

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
How can I plan ahead? It's not like I go full bore into the drawing without trying to keep it centered, but I haven't hit it yet

Hi, You might try placing your paper under the mat first to determine the size you need to draw your subject in. You could even make some soft reference marks. I prefer things to be a bit off centered so I think your placement is close but of course it is too large.

You might just try using a larger paper and start in the middle. When you're done, just crop it as you see fit. This way you arent limited to the small area.
Nicely done by the way. Like the pencil strokes, looks like you work fast but not recklessly.
