Yellow roses

This is 20 x 30 cm. on Canson Mi-tientes paper. Soft Rembradt pastels. This is my first post in this forum (apart from the postcard project), I have to thank my friends of the project, they encouraged me to take the pastels and paint. Please comment.

i dont really think much of flower paintings usually but i really do like the way the background is kind of flat and the roses seem to be trying to get out and come out at you.
