Hi: I have long been an admirer of these birds. Their amazing strength and agility are awe inspiring. The first drawing is an Osprey doing a spot of fishing. http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/19-Dec-2008/97312-Osprey__Fishing.jpg

The second is an attempt to show the complex markings on the underside of a Peregrin Falcon. The bird is lunching on a pigeon.http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/19-Dec-2008/97312-Peregrine_Falcon.jpg

This one is a Golden Eagle coming in to land. http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/19-Dec-2008/97312-golden_eagle_A.jpg

This last one is two Bald Eagles showing great agility.http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/19-Dec-2008/97312-Bald_Eagle_A.jpg

Any C&C welcomed. Thanks for having a look. Cheers Glen.

Amazing and beautiful work, I assume it's graphite? You must have really studied these birds with all the intricate feather work, exciting strong compositions, with a great challenge met in the difficult perspectives.
Well done!

Hi: Thanks to everyone who took the time to post a comment. Very much appreciated. I forgot to give some details. These are all graphite on A3 paper. I enjoy the detail and the challenge of trying to portray motion. Thanks to all who had a look. Cheers Glen.

beautiful work on the wings, they are so complex to draw, so much detail and markings, and you really have to watch the feathers because too few or too many and the bird wouldn't be able to fly... it seems like you have a great handle and understanding of them. I love the marking detail on the peregrine falcon, and the shape, movement and accuracy of the eagles!
