Has anyone used the Girault pastels?...specifically the Elizabeth Mowry Poetic Landscape set of 100?

I am curious about the set (I do not have a colour list or chart, nor have I seen the Girault pastels in person).

I would appreciate comments regarding softness/hardness within the brand and in comparison with other brands.

Currently I used mostly Rowney pastels as my soft choice.

Welcome to Wet Canvas!!!

I, too, was looking into the Landscape set. But instead I purchased several sticks of different brands to test for softness.

Just my opinion, but, to me the Girault appears to feel almost the same as a Rembrandt maybe a little more "gritty" but with better coverage and a great deal more dust particles. But better for blending than a Rembrandt.

I don't know how soft you want to go. But Girault is not soft and creamy like a Sennelier, Schmicke or a Ludwig.

Hope this helps a little and looking forward to your postings. geri
