ANNOUNCING Cafe Guerbois Painting Project #5!!!

*****

check it out at:

http://www.artistnation.com/members/paris/cafe/project5/index.html

****

I will be your group leader for this project so just e mail me if you have any
questions at:

cagathoc@altavista.com

****

This project will begin officially on May 1 and end May 30!

The style for this project will be ABSTRACT EXPRESSIONISM. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

****

Let me know if you will be participating by signing up on this thread.

I know this will be a different for many of us since most at WC use a very realistic style but that's why we do these projects, to step out of "the box" and try new things.

I can't wait to see YOUR paintings!!!

****

Please send any reference photos or links, and all progress pics and final paintings, etc. to:

rodw@ihug.co.nz

THANKS!!!

Hey Cindy, this project overlaps the Pirates and Parrots - it ends on May 26. Although I can see no reason why we can't have projects in parallell to allow give people options, but some may want to do all of them...

Henrik,

Yes, you are right. I was given the timing by Phyliss.

Phyliss (LIZZ) http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/wink.gif -

Should we change this?

Sign me up. I think that this is an important project for me since it is so completely unlike me, and I think I can learn quite a bit here. I was looking forward to doing the pirate project, but I've a commision due at the end of the month and can't possibly complete three pieces in this short period of time.

Please forgive me henrik! I'll try to do yours too, but I can't commit to it until I see how well the pay-copy goes.

I love the idea of an abstract, but what my inner self will look like is anybody's guess! Suppose I just fling the paint onto the canvas and let it drip into place...I'm flexible and easy-going!

yep, count me in for this one!
(p.s. I tried the link from the cafe site and it did not bring me here.)

Idea was to have two projects per month. One project will be to study a particular "Style" the other project will be "Free Style". Just as a side note....we can always change anything. The dates are a guideline or suggestion.

However, after saying that, we are sorta behind on our schedule. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Take a look at all the suggestions that we have had for future painting projects. I think we should do them all. Some projects are harder than others and might require more time. We can always push the due date forward but when we do this, keep in mind that some have already finished and are waiting for the next one to start. Lets keep the dates like they are for now and see what happens. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif
