GENERAL INFORMATION:
Title: F**k Apples
Year Created: 2002
Medium: Pen/Ink
Surface: Paper
Dimension: 20 inch wide and about 30 tall
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!

MY COMMENTS:
I took a photo of this with my digital camera since my scanner is broke.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
I want to do a larger version with gauche (maybe 5 feet wide) any suggestions before I do that? Also I don't know what kind of paper or things I should use to make it that size. I've done long things but never just plain "big"

you can get a stretched canvas that is 5X4 feet.

the rest is work. {acrylic goes quickly}

good luck,

I fear cloth. but maybe it's time to get over that.

great toes, the sour face says it all.

I like how you've ghosted in the walls of the house, completes the composition well and adds a cool tension to the piece.

your work reminds me a bit of Peregrin Honig's, thought you might like seeing her ... here is a link to a few pieces http://www.artnet.com/ag/fineartthumbnails.asp?gid=246&aid=8474

I agree...

I like the raw nature of your work
but I also feel a loss

I like the treatment you gave the bird and apple
I guess I want more of that

just a thought to put in the circular file
if you want

Yes. though I think I might put a little red bit of apple in her hand since, as giniaad, pointed out it could use one more little splash.

Good things come in threes and fives, methinks.

If you're happy with that, then I think it's fine..

hehe, when you suggested I 'finish' the geisha I had the same response as you just had to aaasp --

Huh? What? Where?

I've worked gouche on canvas -- (never 5 foot of it though) --- I prefer it to paper infact, although I'd suggest acrylic for the yellow.... (like jerry said, I'm just a copy cat really)...

Thanks for the ideas, I may go with that. Something I know and something I don't know.

I'm going to do this this weekend! I'll go to perl river in china town to get outfitted.

By the way-- I guess I want to talk about your drawings more... about filling in the bottom, but I'll do that on the other thread.
