Acrylic on canvas - 24x20in. Part of a series on abstracted cityscapes I'm doing.

I had a look at your website and I really like the 'cityscape 1' the colours are really good. 'Striations' is incredible and my favourite. I like the colours in 'tightrope'. Hope to see more of your work soon. good luck with the exhibition.

"Morning Coffee" and "Commuter" are my favorites from your website Peter. The steely blues of "Tightrope" are very pleasing calm neutrals.

For how few colors you used, there is a lot of variation. I really like this.

There's quite a few elements of this piece I really enjoy.
Went to your site:
"City Life" is awesome!
I don't know if it was intentional because the style is different but I see Leger (my favorite) in Commercial Creation's composition.

I like the colors you've used here and the great things to look at.

I am a little trouble by how centered the red strip is though. I just htink it should be either higher or lower on the image. Keep them coming!

Thanks, Rick. I usually mix my grays (& blacks) from ultramarine and burnt sienna - a touch more blue here.

Thanks marybeth. The touch of light orange in the square helps a lot, and the reds (especially the bar) have a loose mixture of warm & cool reds - mainly cool.

Thanks, Don. I agree on the bar - it is slightly above center, but not quite enough. Next time :-)

Thanks, John.

City Life (http://www.paintingsilove.com/image/show/14037/city-life) is all knife-work. I think the road has more layers than a real road - took a while to get a decent color :) Not too green or purple.

Commercial Creation (http://www.paintingsilove.com/image/show/4/commercial-creation) started as a computer-abstract and then I picked apart various of my cityscape photos to match it, and then painted the result. It does have the Leger tubes - not intentional as such.

I like the works on your site. Candy Corn is a nice, bright, balanced composition.
