Thank you so much for almost bringing Cornerstone 2000 to us. I almost felt a part of it. Great pictures. I would have loved being there. The closest thing they have where I live is called Falls Fest, and although they have crafts and arts booths, I don't think they've ever had a hands on thing for art. Wonderful article Larry and a painting demo to boot!

I totally agree. Wonderful. Great photos too!
And Larry, up till now I'd never seen or heard of your glove-and-rag painting technique... perhaps because I don't hang out in the painting forum? I was really thrilled to see it though!
I think more people should paint with their hands. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/wink.gif Brushes. Feh. So newfangled.

Larry, one of your best pieces todate. I really enjoyed the tour of the festival. and by the way...you look much younger in these photos!

Younger huh? Made my day!!!!!
YEEEEooooooo!
It's cuz that gotee is off my mug!
thanks for the general comments everyone. This fest is always much fun, and so so exhausting. Everyone tries to live several months worth of activities in about 5 days!

Hi Larry,
I also enjoyed your article about the festival and your paintings! Hmmmm...I was thinking that you looked taller...! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/wink.gif
Seriously, though, it looks like it was a great time!

Hhhmm....younger, taller. No one said I looked thinner than they had imagined! Well, am trying to work on that one! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/wink.gif

Larry, the Cornerstone Festival sounds really awesome. A hundred and fifty bands, wow! We just got back today from a youth "Wild Week" at Baylor U. in Waco TX, where "Among Thorns" led worship. Have you ever heard them? I don't know if they're nation-wide or not but they're pretty popular in this area.

Never heard of "Among Thorns" but a very cool name I have to admit!!
My son's band did a two month tour last November and December, and played in about a half-dozen spots in Texas...you might ask if anyone in your youth group has heard of "Left Out" The name of their more recent album was, "For the Working Class" and is a heavy punk alternative style.
Sounds like you had a great time at "Wild Week".....great to see things like this going on all over. I'm pretty psyched, as tonight my own band is playing locally...with members of the band driving from two and four hours away. Can't wait....
Peace.....
Larry
