MY COMMENTS:
You asked me to share more, so here is another of my pieces. It is Scratchboard- 14"x18" in size All C&C welcome.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
I enclosed a couple of detail shots of the eye areas for those that are curious how scratchboard works and looks up close. These detail areas are quite a bit larger than life.

Here is a larger image at 800 pixels... I don't like the 500x600 pixel restriction in this forum when the rest of WC is now 800x800

Crias, this is just so amazingly good! My God! Beautiful work!

And thanks to you for being so generous with your photos in the RIL! They're beautiful and I've painted many of them.

Dana I'd love to see anything you did with my photos... I love seeing what people create from my images.

Masterful work in every sense of the word! I like the eye contact we have with the animal. It actually has a sense of recognizing our presence. I also appreciate the subtle gradation of the ground upon which he lies. very difficult to get such a smooth transition to the background. I am not acquainted with scratchboard but used to get similar results with dip pen and ink. This is very nice! Thanks for sharing.

Holy cow, thats amazing. I can almost understand how you do the hair on this scratchboard, but to get the eyes and eyelids to look wet like you've done is whats truly incredible. Could stare at this for hours.
