This is my first truly completed Plrin Air. didn't have to stop I didn't run out of time, rain anything. I was out front of the 2 Sisters Cafe painting the building on the corner. trying to promot my painting in the show. I did it this afternoon. it is an 8/10 oil on canvas board. photo not to good. C&C always welcome.

Hi Pete,
Congratulations on this one being the first done totally outside. That's always a great feeling. You did a good job of it and I'm sure that was smart being out there to promote your show.

Ron thank you. I Had so many that almost finished. I would just take to long light would change what i started out with was a whole different subject. and if I were faster to keep the light closer it would rain. and I did get quite a few people go in and look but no sales. A few seemed interested got my card and wanted to know where else they could see some of my paintings. well Ron thank you again.

Hi Pete Your enthusiasm is to be admired and being highly visible out there with easel set up is bound to get attention. I think you chose a good vantage point too and maybe if the Two Sisters could have been identified with a sign the restaurant might buy it! Good going and keep posting. Dan and Judith

Hi Dan Now when you say highly vivible do you mean (eagle eye) LOL no that was something I had alot of people come by. I even had the woman from the downtown development stop and talked for some time. about 2 things 1 seeing if we could start something with getteing more artist painting downtown. 2 possable having an Art In The Park Show this commimg year. I need to go sit down with her with in the next cupple of week to see what we could do for that. so I guess things maybe will work out. and I did a painting of the Cafe befor my paintings were in there and another of the side they have a few tables out side and a little walk way with flowers and some things kinda nice. still drying tho. should be good this week. well Dan thanks again. PS when a'm I going to get to see one of Judiths paintings. can't wait.

Hi again, Pete - just another quick one: we encourage you to persue the idea of involving as many painters as you can so as to increase public awareness. Arranging for an "art in the park" exhibit, for example, can take considerable work from a group of volunteers but they often pay off in getting the word out. As we become involved with group painting, exhibit in some shows, and even while we have our walls full of our own stuff we come to realize that not everyone is enthusiastic about art. BUT those who show interest really seem to care about it. I reckon we just have to do what we do; express what we see in our own way and if we are genuine about it maybe people will respond in favorable ways. As an example, I believe you carry a contagious enthusiasm around with you and people respond to that. It seemed obvious to us when you posted your photos of the Two Sisters show AND the photo of you right smack in the middle of things. You might become known as the local Embassador of Art. By the way, I think Judith is about ready to get some more posts going but in the meantime, her latest of Cresbard Lake Heron was posted not too long ago. Maybe it's on page two or three here. well thank you if this was a month ago I most likly wouldn't have. but getting out some made me feel better about it. now I think I got the itch for it. when people come by you seem to block them out some what and just do your thing. so its not that bad. Kinda fun.thanks again.
