View Full Version : I may even stop at fusing!

Ok, with my kiln due to arrive in a week, I just ordered:

The large spectrum 96 sample kit
several bezel sets from FMG
PMC3/slip/paper/syringes

My imagination has been working overtime with this stuff.

Question: I've never learned to solder, and I really don't want to learn. Can I use PMC to attach pin backs to PMC creations? Especially the pin backs with the holes in them...seems a natural...

Next stop, the stained glass store to see what arrangements I can make for scrap goodies. I need to find some black and some clear flat glass, but I think Hobby Lobby actually might have some of that. I'm such a snob...to me that's like going to Long John Silver's for sushi....

Anyway... has anyone intended to do other things with glass and gotten mesmerized by fusing?

Kelly,

You can fire PMC plus with sterling components, so I would imagine you can do it with PMC3 even more easily. Just make sure the pin section is clean and even crosshatching the area it will be fused to is a good idea. I would recommend Tim McCreight's book on PMC, it's been very helpful for me. Also, the PMC Guild has a bulletin board that has lots of good info, but some of the posts are really snippy.. try to overlook it :p

Also, I have Tim's first video about PMC for sale if anyone is interested. :D I'll take $30 plus shipping. Yummm, sushi....

Hugs,

Candace
