another one nicely done! did you achieve all the texture with a knife, or did you have some other tricks up your sleeve as well?

Jolie, with this yes. It was done entirely with the knife. I do alot of scraping back to stain the surface, and then painting over that. With some of my tighter scrapings (like some of the symbols, or my signature even) I use the pointy end of a compass, or for a thicker line, the back end of a paintbrush. Yesterday I discovered that I could scrape a wide line and then clean it up nicely with tissue. :) But for the actual painting, I use the knife.
