acrylic on canvas, 36x24

i think of them as robots, but i've heard feedback from others that they look like old dressmaker dummies. either way it works, i guess.

love the vibrancy of the colors irl.

Nice abstact form! The bright colours make the piece vivacious.

I like this one, the use of simple repetitive background images counteract well with the more subtle textures of the figures, a real pleasure to see.
best wishes, Ken..

What a lovely update of a classic Madonna and child!

veedub--:) that's what i was going for, so i'm glad it came through. thanks for looking and seeing and saying!

plec--thanks! i was starting to feel like the background was competing too much with the foreground. i was hoping that by simplifying the colors in the bg it would take away from that.

barsha--thanks so much!

timE--what a great compliment. that really does mean a lot to me. :)

Another really strong piece Amanda.
Makes me think of an artist's manniquin,,
if that's what they call it,,,,,the thing that models. :D

Only one little thing bothers me,,,and it's little,,,
the Madonna's halo gets slightly lost in the yellow of the clouds.
Maybe a break there, with some of the blue sky behind her head?
