I LIKE! yeah...DJ is a paintin' machine these days...*LOL* I am lucky to get anything done. Started three paintings...still sitting there. Fantastic charcoal work Simon. Give us a dark background to pop the face out. *GRIN*

these are great simon...second my fav...more dramatic
yes, dj is very talented,
as you are.
I am glad she inspired you to work/ play...
(may be more than her talent that inspires you...:D )

This way?
which way...
that dj is talented?
that dj made us feel lazy?
like the faces you portrayed?
(forgive me, I am, what you call, dislexic...
and see things from all angles...)

I am pleasently confused
and always glad to see work by you and/ or dj

I always want to
dj is a star
this charcoal stuff is most revealing 'bout what you are doing,
what you are looking for,
what you find,
how it all goes together.

thanks

"you too can become a guilt machine! Just send $25 and two Krispy Treats (not the wrappers, the whole candybars) to NOLIFE INC., 555 55th, Your Town, USA!
You will receive daily snapshots from a marginally employed manicurist is the heart of the Inferno, beautiful Downtown Scottsdale, Arizona guaranteed to make you feel like cleaning your house is a luxury you simply cannot afford!

You will also receive:

GUILT, like your mother NEVER fixed!

POSITIVE STROKES, which will compel you to give up all social life for the lure of words like "...you fan" and "FINALLY"

ANNOYING EMAILS, venting between layers of paint whining about how hard it is to get into a gallery if you never leave your house!

These will guarantee your membership into the National Arts Club, one man shows and a killer website (still working on that movie), but it is coming up.
So drink gallons of coffee and unplug your computer occasionally (especially if it starts smelling like burning dust) and paint until they send the HazMat crew to dig you out!"

Thanks Simon....
now about those drawings. Moody and intense. I sure hope this is not one of your pals that drops in at midnight! Tuxedos, yes. Bald and scary... well SCARY.
I like them. The sense of black and white is very much like your paint.
Thanks for posting... FINALLY!
your fan
