Thanks Dan, nice still life. How do you decide on the background color (not just the paper color)? I'd like to try still lifes but I have no clue as to how to do the backgrounds and I know they're real important.

Thanks Gail the poppy red paper has been around the studio for awhile
and I'm going to the big city for resupply, so using it up
and my main focus was the dark red sunflower
Hi Donna, I was looking for the compliment to the red flower, but greyed (grayed) down

Really nice. I like how the top lighting makes everything sparkle. I really like the middle one of the 5 thumbnails, even though it's not the finished peice,

Really love the way you have allowed the red of the paper to show through the background. It really does completment the main flower and adds a warmth to the background as well. Thanks for showing us your process.

nice demo :) and that is one large piece of paper. Interesting, never thought a pool table would be part of a studio furnishing :D

Hi Mags the studio is still clean from our open studio weekend slowly returning to normal, it was cropped to 18 x 16"
the pool table is were the money is WC!
today painting at the Englishman River Estuary for rivers day and had this fogbow!
