I decided to let the gallery I use frame three of my new paintings for a show next week. While I was there, a lady came in...and saw one of my paintings, fell in love with it and bought it! The one she bought is one of my 16x20 Oklahoma landscapes I did last year. I snapped the shot coming back from the IAPS Convention last year. She didn't know anything about pastel and I answered all her questions that we have discussed here on the forum. She was one happy woman when she walked out ...and I was the second:)
Now I'm going to pick up my favorite young man, my grandson, at school. Life is good:p

Wow, that was fast response! Thank you Peggy and Hal!

Peggy I'm in three shows this month (actually Oct) and have a three day plein air workshop with Clive Tyler. I'm going to be pretty busy and hope I can get a handle on the dizziness and balance problems I'm having.

Now that's a cool way to sell a painting, congratulations! I hope you feel better, too. (I assume your inner ears have been checked? I had that problem and it took forever to go away.)

Wonderful! And it's so good you were there to talk to her about pastels. Sometimes people don't get enough information from galleries and end up not buying them just because they don't understand how wonderful they are.

Congratulations!

Thank you Donna! I have a problem with my left ear and it comes and goes but it's sticking with me this time. It can really curb your lifestyle.

Maggie, it was really good timing..I was there to answer her questions and about a week ago, they had moved that one up front with my smaller ones and you could see it a lot better. I really believe those two things is what made it happen. She liked me and she loved the painting! That will pay for the three to be framed. I'm doing my job to educate everyone I meet about pastels:D .

Thanks Charlie..opps, I ran into a wall:lol: .

Kathryn, thank you! And I will keep painting!

Congratulations, nana! I'll bet you're flying -- and I'll bet your buyer is too. Meeting you and understanding more about your medium gave her a special unique experience along with a painting she loves.
